I started my weightlifting/exercising journey back at the Trabuco Hills High School football weight room. Being able to work hard here and transform myself into a better football player was very intriguing. I was determined to be the strongest and biggest one in that weight room from that point on! This ambition, with little to no supervision, inevitably led to injury. Two shoulder surgeries later and football pretty much over, I was looking for something to do. The athletic trainer at Trabuco at the time, Shalina, was a coach at Next Level Crossfit (which would become Level Method Gym) and invited me to stop by. From there I was on and off for about 2 years before I decided to train seriously. This was spurred on by a Crossfit competition my girlfriend, Shelby, was competing in. During that entire 2 year stretch she was training consistently and crushing it. At the competition I watched the Rx male heats and thought "I bet if I trained I would crush those guys!". I began training consistently at Level Method Gym from that point on and after a year of hard training I was obsessed. All I did was go to school (CSUF), watch Crossfit Games videos, and train. The only logical progression from there was to coach. I got my CF Level 1 in October of 2015 and have been coaching ever since. Shortly after coaching I became interested in Programming. I began studying Kinesiology at CSUF and graduated with a degree in both Finance and Kines in 2018. During this time I was soaking up all the programming knowledge that I could from Nathan (founder of Level Method) and began working with him. We started Level Method gym programming in 2018 and are still going strong.
